December 2015

On December 2, 2015, Shokei Gakuin University and Taiwan's Hungkuang University (HU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement at the Shokei Gakuin campus. Presiding at the event were Dean Tiger Tien and Secretary Joyce Chiang of HU's Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs. Attending the event from Shokei Gakuin were President Takafumi Goda, Vice President Meiying Huang, Special Assistant to the President for International Affairs Marie Aizawa, Dean of Academic Affairs Kiyoshi Kimura, Dean of Student Affairs Yoshikatsu Tamura, Lecturer Sam Murchie, and several administrative staff.

October 2015

Two professors and thirty-five students from Australia's Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and La Trobe University made a stop at Shokei Gakuin University while on their way to visit tsunami-hit areas of Natori City. In honor of the Australians' visit to Japan, Shokei Gakuin was pleased to host a joint lecture presented by Professor Marie Aizawa and Professor Makoto Arutaki on the subject of disaster risk reduction. A special session was also held in which several Shokei Gakuin staff members shared their first-hand accounts of the effects of the tsunami. The group's visit received print and TV coverage from local and regional media outlets.

September 2015

Shokei Gakuin welcomes two exchange students from the School of Foreign Languages of Dalian University of Technology, China for half a year stay. And Shokei Gakuin sends one student to Dalian University for half a year stay.

August to September 2015

Nine students from Shokei Gakuin visit Seattle, Washington for two weeks of intensive English study and individual research projects.

August 2015

Sixteen students from Shokei Gakuin visit James Cook University in Cairns, Australia as a part of Shokei Gakuin’s overseas internship program.
