Assessment Policy

As part of its internal quality assurance, SHOKEI GAKUIN UNIVERSITY inspects and evaluates, in a comprehensive and multi-faceted manner, whether the educational activities of the University are functioning appropriately, based on the three policies, and makes any necessary improvements. In this process of inspection and evaluation, the degree of academic achievement will be verified at the institutional, curriculum, and course level, based on the following policies.

Institution Level (University)
The degree to which students have achieved the University’s curriculum from enrollment through to graduation will be verified comprehensively based on the status of degree conferral, curriculum achievement degree surveys, and other criteria.
Curriculum Level (College/Department)
The degree of academic achievement across the entire curriculum will be verified based on the status of achievement of graduation requirements, status of earning of credits, GPA, external examinations, status of qualifications obtained, and other criteria.
Class Subject Level (Faculty)
The degree of curriculum achievement in individual subjects will be verified by rigorous evaluation of academic results based on the academic results criteria stated in the individual syllabus, evaluation of the classes by students, and other criteria.
